APT (Automatic Permanent Transfer)
The six-month interim ownership transfer status will be automatically converted to permanent ownership status.
TRANSFER HISTORY
Used Car Dealers (UCDs) may purchase information on a specific vehicle prior to an approved STMS transaction if there are any doubts. The report will display the number of ownership transfers within the last three months, as well as the most recent ownership transfer date.
eSTM (eSerahan Tukar Milik)
Permanent Transfer from Used Car Dealer to New Buyer. PUSPAKOM MV15 inspection is required.
eLKM RENEWAL (Digital Road Tax Renewal)
The buyer may choose to renew the vehicle's digital road tax for the newly acquired vehicle using the eSTM platform. If renewal is selected, a valid motor insurance policy must be purchased beforehand. The digital road tax (eLKM) can then be viewed via the vehicle owner's MyJPJ app.
eVOC (Digital Vehicle Ownership Certificate)
The buyer may also choose to obtain a copy of the Digital Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC) through the eSTM platform once the transaction is approved. Additionally, the eVOC can be viewed via the vehicle owner's MyJPJ app.
BMK (Butiran Maklumat Kenderaan)
The BMK is a vehicle information document issued by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and made available through the eAuto system. It can be purchased by sellers and/or used car dealers as needed to facilitate vehicle ownership transfers.
eDEREG PRE-CHECKING (Prechecking of Vehicle Status prior to Deregistration)
This module is designed to assist Authorised Automotive Treatment Facility (AATF) in verifying the status of a vehicle prior to initiating the deregistration process.
eDEREG (Deregistration and Disposal of Vehicle)
All scheduled vehicle deregistrations must undergo a pre-checking process. Only vehicles that pass this pre-check will be allowed to proceed with deregistration. The vehicle will then be brought to the AATF premises, where the vehicle owner will authorise the AATF to carry out the deregistration and disposal. A JPJK1D form will be issued via JPJ's mySIKAP system to confirm the deregistration, and a Certificate of Destruction (COD) will be provided by AATF once the vehicle has been successfully disposed of.
Documents issued by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), via its appointed service provider, are required for all vehicle ownership transfers under the Company Category ID on both the STMS and eSTM platforms. Used Car Dealers must purchase these SSM documents online prior to initiating the ownership transfer of company-owned vehicles. The transfer must be verified by the company's directors, partners, or owners as indicated in the SSM documents.
An alliance has been established with several motor insurance companies to offer their insurance policies to buyers through the eSTM platform. This integration enables the activation of digital road tax (eLKM) renewal upon successful insurance purchase.
JomCheck is a digital service in Malaysia that allows prospective buyers to check the status of a vehicle and access any available accident reports/history by entering the vehicle registration number.
